Rob, Thats funny, sorry, but it is. What kind of car was it? I learned in a 1996 Ford Ranger, my husband bought the truck this summer so I had no choice but to learn to drive it. It was easier than I though it would be, but I think because I kind of did my homework first. I had my husband explain to me exacty how the clutch worked and what was happening in the engine as I let it out, stuff like that. I found it so strange that the clutch is actually 2 plates comming into contact with each other while spinning, who would have thought....

1. My name is Pinky and I'm happily addicted to pc casual gaming. Hoping my family doesn't try to plan an intervention. 2. Happily married to the love of my life for 12 yrs., and he is my best friend. 3. Hubby is 10 yrs. younger than me, but looks older (he is all gray and I have only a very few) but he's still my Cutie-pie! 4. I retired early (at 54) after 30 yrs. in the work force as a mortgage loan processor/underwriter. Bye-bye stress! 5. I love my pc waaaaaayyyyy too much!! 6. Please don't talk to me until I've had my morning coffee. 7. I am very much a 'homebody' and get homesick when I go away. 8. I was once a cheerleader, but don't like sports (sorry Mizzmm, lol) 9. My mother was a well known (in our little town) dance instructor when I was a child. I took dancing classes in her studio from ages 3 thru 10, and performed solo every year in her recitals. Took all of it ~ ballet, tap, jazz, baton, acrobatics, toe. I use to love to watch the adult class in ballroom dance. There was an old player piano. Very fond memories. 10. I have never lived alone, and never will. Was raised in a large family of 6 children and am use to having people around all the time. I do, however, like my alone time in short intervals, or long ones if I'm really hooked on a good game. 11. Gable is spot on! I can relate to a few items from each and every list posted here! 12. I have three dogs ~ a 78 lb. Pittmix which we rescued after Katrina, a 17 lb. Poshie (Pom/Sheltie mix) who showed up on our doorstep and adopted us, and a small Shih-tzu who recently claimed us as his own. My current avatar is Precious, my Poshie, and she's so true to her name. 13. I also have 7 cats. Didn't really plan this; had two and somehow inherited/adopted the others. Love them all dearly! I had to put my foot down and stop at this number because people are always bringing their strays here knowing we're softies for animals. (They're all fixed, so, no that number will not change, lol). 14. My children are both grown (35 and 36) and I have no grandchildren (except that they tell their cats and dogs that I'm Grandma, lol!) I've even been asked to 'babysit' a time or too. 15. I have a drivers license but don't drive (haven't in 3 yrs). The roads are just too dangerous out there with Latte and her big wheels on the loose! 16. My game/drug of choice right now is Totem Tribe. Odd, because I don't usually play rpg's. But it's so much more than just an rpg. I had to leave the house for the day yesterday and I missed my little scouts, shamans, and witchdoctors with long flowing hair, lol. My scouts had just learned to swim and I didn't want to leave them on their own for too long. 17. I'm a neat freak and I drive my family crazy. It was a really bad one! (ljot remembers it too). 19. I am a Christian, and I love the Lord! 20. I can count my close friends (IRL) on one hand but once I make a friend it's usually for life. I have one I've been best friends with since age thirteen. I value my online friendships. They are just as important to me as the ones I know face to face. 21. I was a hippie in the mid to late 60's, but I never made it to Woodstock. 22. No, I've never been arrested. But if Latte keeps getting me in trouble with all her naughtiness that could change. lol. 23. I've owned five houses in my lifetime. In two different states. Two brand new and three resales. (Residences, not investments). Can you tell I'm getting stuck here? Only two more to go! 24. Yes, I am a smoker. Hi DB, Gable, and Jeny!! 25. I'm a native Texan, born and raised on the Gulf Coast. I love my seafood! (surprise, surprise).
Ok, Latte, now willya leave me alone so I can go play with my scouts? lol. Go pick on Rob. I don't see his list yet.
*looks around* Hmmm, funny....I don't see it either....one would think that with a long ponytail, muscles, and a Harley, he would have SOMETHING to post about himself?!?! Especially considering I CAN and WILL write one for him, since I know a few things about him....mwhahahahhaaaaaa.....I hope he does it SOOON!
And what about Creedy? He isn't getting away scott free either!
I didn't get married until I was 31...to busy with my career
I used to be a buyer for a Dept. store.
after spending years walking around NYC in high heels and having to soak my poor feet in cold water
I hate to shop
I have two wonderful kiddos who we managed to raise to be totally awesome adults
My oldest graduated from college in May and is a nurse in Calif. working in the pediatric ICU at UCLA Medical center. I don't know how she does it...they get really, really sick babies there and she has seen things I don't know if I would be able to handle, but she is very good at what she does.
My youngest is a senior in college in Az. majoring in history, not sure what she is going to do with it yet, but she also has taken 4 yrs. of sign language so maybe she can tie the two together somehow. I can see her in a museum doing something I think.
sheesh that's only 8
I am Mom to lots of fur kids..one large yellow lab, 3 elder kitties,2 grandkitties when the girls are home, 2 birds, a fish, and tons of wildlive outside that I feed everyday. I have a couple of huge squirrels among the gang I feed that run aross the lawn when they see me in the morning and take peanuts out of the cup of feed that I give them each day.
I used to have a mallard pair of ducks that came every year in April for about 6 yrs and would sit underneath my huge pine tree everyday, I fed them goose food. I know it was the same pair because the male had a limp. They quit coming when the foxes moved into the neighborhood...now the foxes are gone because the coyotes moved in...and we live in the city for heaven's sake.
I love to read
I love to garden
I love stirring the pot when it's snowing outside, making stew or soup so it fogs up the windows
I love puzzles, I do the crossword in the paper everyday...helps to keep the brain juices flowing.
I love playing computer games but get frustrated when my old hands aren't fast enough.Thank goodness for Jen and all the others that have helped me through the years to figure out other ways to get to the goal with their walkthroughs.
I'm really addicted to what is going on with politics and talk(yell) at the TV regularly.
Oh and I'm the crazy lady of the neighborhood cause I walk around with earphones in my ear listening to talk radio walking the dog, gardening, getting the mail, etc.
I don't think that's 25 but I guess that's pretty much me now.
I honestly cannot think of 25 but here's what I came up with!
I live in the South West of England.
Married for 36 yrs, mostly happy ones lol!
I have 1 daughter and 2 grandchildren.
My daughter calls me "Mummy no Brains" but she has always assured me that it is a term of affection!
I spent my working life as a Librarian which may sound boring to some, but I loved it!
Retired at 45 as I was saving more than I was spending! There is more to life than working......... like playing casual games!
I do voluntary work for a night shelter for the homeless. Usually running a soup kitchen 1/2 nights a week.
I love 60's and classical music mostly and my favourite composer is Bach.
I wouldn't say I was accident prone, but if I was walking through a desert I would be sure to fall into an oasis and drown!
If you ask me a question you will get an honest answer, so you have been warned!
I'm a big football fan (soccer) and I support The Arsenal. I go to matches whenever I can.
Hubby has never been to a football match in his life.
I married a Scotsman, my sister married a Canadian and my daughter married a Welshman. I reckon it will have to be an Irishman for my grandaughter.
As some of you may have noticed I love puzzles, especially word ones! As a child I wanted to be a Lexicographer when I grew up. Odd child!
I can do Rubik's Cube in 11 seconds!
I hate convenience food with a passion! You can't beat fresh home cooked meals. I also hate cooking but hey, you can't have it all ways!!!
I once had a moment of madness and poured gravy over my hubby! I swear it was only meant to be a tiny spot on his balding head, but it sort of deluged out and what made it worse was that he carried on eating his meal while it dripped down his face! I have often wondered why our daughter's new boyfriend who was dining with us never came back, and why our daughter is still hiding under the table with embarrassment! Suffice to say that hubby has never criticised my culinary skills since!!!
My passion is cardmaking though I do enjoy a lot of other crafts too.
My claim to fame is falling down outside a very smart hotel in London, only to be helped up by none other than Richard Gere who was staying there! He then insisted on taking me and my friend into the hotel, had someone clean up my bleeding leg and bought us coffee. What a gentleman! My daughter has never forgiven me, LOL. As already stated, I'm NOT accident prone!
Lol Junks, too funny. I also tend to fall down a lot. I just fell down crossing a busy street three weeks ago. That was at the beginning of the night, before the heavy drinking! Even though you didn't fall down purposely that is a good idea. As long as the cute guy is a gentleman and doesn't just laugh as he walks on by!
