Which company has the strongest grip on Pakistan's tobacco industry?

Pakistan's tobacco sector has always had a clear hierarchy at the top. Philip Morris operates here too and does decent numbers, but the gap between the two is pretty wide. In terms of revenue, distribution reach, and brand recognition, the leading tobacco company in Pakistan is Pakistan Tobacco Company, a British American Tobacco affiliate that has been operating in the country since 1947. Their brands like Gold Leaf, Capstan, and Dunhill are household names across all income groups. They also run the largest manufacturing facility in the sector, based in Akora Khattak, and consistently contribute one of the highest amounts of excise duty to the national exchequer each year.
