Perfume Review

Can you guys give me your specific thoughts on the game, gameplay, characters, art, upgrades, storyline, etc? I need to write a review for PF...

Unless someone wants to volunteer??  :)

The clicking stinks...it doesn't stick.

I didn't have the clicking issue.

I liked the upgrades (except the really slow "quality" machine) and having to budget purchases.

It is very comparable to The Great Chocolate Chase, so that was a good choice for them to pair with it in the giveaway. It has similar graphics, speed, characters, and gameplay. I didn't mind the poor image quality, but I liked Everything Nice. That was made by the same company and has the exact same feel.

The in-games trophies are nice and should have been made into medals by PF instead of the measly four medals they created.

The HOG element was annoying to me...stupid tools and mostly obvious loactions to search or objects directly in front of your face.

The cut scenes were slow, and the storyline was pathetic (at least the parts I read).

16 parts per level was too much for me. I wish it were broken up more.

I thought the game was very similar to Ch. Chase. I thought the hidden object levels were a nice touch, except they were a bit easy. I liked the interaction in the hidden object levels. I liked the stock options, it made it feel as if I really was building a business from the ground up. The upgrades were fair. The characters were interesting. Some were slow, some inpatient, some picky, some not. They clearly had different personalities and challenges. I can't say about the story really, because I usually don't read it. There could have been mini challenges in the levels (like in chocolate chase) to break up the monotony and/or a drive thru, phone order type thing. Switching the equipment to different locations could have been an extra challenge. It was nice to meet new characters with new stories and personalities. Overall, it was a fun and involved time-management game with an extra added bonus of having interactionary hidden object levels included.

lol Your review IS on the main page Pinky. lol. But you didnt play the whole game, just the FP, so their marketing director is saying yours doesnt count. Now if you want to play the whole game and then tell them their game still sucks and why, feel free. lol. I support your opinion to say a stinky game sucks. :)

Rob, I will be adding a Review thread in Walkthru thread, and adding KrissyLynn to the group already there. You can take turns or if one of you prefers a certain type game... If you werent already planning on buying a particular game, I will give you the preview code to get the game....however, I dont get it for a few days after game came out. So.....if you are anxious to play a game, then buy it as normal, and you can let me know what other game you want as a "gift".

We will round out 2009 with Avenue Flo, Cooking Dash 2, Gemini Lost, and DD5..... ((playfirst traditionally does not release a game in December))

I would really like RjX_ to write the DD5 review if he is available and willing? If not, that one is up for grabs.

PS. There will be HH PRIZE Challenges for CD2 and DD5. There will be walkthrus of Avenue Flo and Gemini Lost.

Mary: Of course he doesn't. Mom, it's part of the game we are playing. He is Daddy coming home late, and I'm you.
