After her recent win Doggie Dash champion Sefke was kind enough to answer a few question.

How long have you been playing video/computer games?   
The First time I played a computer game, was when my brother bought a Commodore 64. I think I was 13 years old (34 years ago pfftt). One could only play 3 games on it, Pacman, Tetris and Space Invaders (all in black and orange of course).  My brother was a teacher at my the local high school, and in between games I secretly checked his files for the exams that I would have to take the next day.

What was the first TM game you played?
That was Snowy Lunch Rush. After I had finished the game I started searching the internet for more TM-games. This way I ended up at websites like PF and BFG. And well, there I discovered Flo and I instantly fell in love with her. She is the reason I got addicted to TM-games.

What other types of games do you enjoy?
What games don't I like, is a better question.   I like lots of different games. HO, Adventure games, you name it, but I always fall back on my TM-games.

How much time do you spend on each level trying to get the score you want?
Oh my, that differs. Some levels only take a few minutes whereas some can keep me busy for hours. Some levels I play, and while I'm playing I see where I make a mistake or where I can do things differently or better. Sometimes this results in me playing the same level over and over again. Most times you make the same mistake many times in a row, which can be very frustrating.

Did you concentrate more on swapping or matching animals?
In Doggie Dash it all comes down to matching. You simply cannot change a dog into a cat lol. Chaining is very important in this game, so I mostly played with either cats or dogs most of the time. For example, at first I play mostly with the dogs and when I have no more options I switch to the cats.

With the game being made in the U.S. was there anything that took you a minute to figure out what was being said or you were being told to do?
We, being Dutch, are very fortunate that we are taught English in school from the age of 12. Therefore it wasn't a problem for me.

If you could add one thing to the game what would it be?  
Well, add. change is a better word. I found it quite annoying that you have to replay the entire game when you want to improve your scores.  Parking Dash had the same problem in the beginning, but that was fixed at one point.

 What tips can you give us to be able to achieve higher scores?

The main thing is to be very very very patient and you have to persevere. Another thing is that you should never hold on to the same tactics. Sometimes you have to chain/swap, sometimes its all about colour matching and sometimes its a combination of both. That is the fun thing about TM-games, it never gets dull. You just keep on searching for the right tactics for each level.

I would like to take this opportunity to give the moderators of HH a huge compliment for this fantastic website. Before, you only knew the people by name from the High Score List. Now you can get to know everyone personally and you get to exchange tips with each other, that is really great.
