Plinky Prompt is a new tool invented by one of the original members of Blogger. It prompts a question each day for blogs, social websites, etc to get members talking....Some of the answers I've seen posted elsewhere were hilarious, some controversial, at any rate, they were interesting...so I thought we'd try some Plinky here....not to be confused with our Pinky...Voice your opinions, don't worry about being nice, it's all good...I got over being nice a few days ago. lol.
I'll post several today and then keep it going. The first one is...
Bailout Schmailout...What this country really needs is......
responsibility and the ability to know when and how to help. I have had 4 homes in 20 years. All of them were bought with the knowledge of what we could afford.
At no time did I say " Gee, I think I want a 250,000 home, but I can only afford 75,000.
I an all for those who had a financial hardship after they have responsibly signed for a loan. I have no problem helping them out in some way.
But those (like a few of my relatives) that wanted a big house or more "things" even though they knowingly couldn't afford them, I say:
regroup Be honest with your self Be honest about what you can truly afford and go from there.
but don't expect me to help you out when you willing dug yourself into a hole.

I dont know about all this free health care that is being proposed right now . I have heard really bad things about it from other countries and to be honest it scares me .
If insurance people wouldnt rip the docs off and everything else I think it could be affordable.
What I mean by that is. When I took my kid to get allergy testing done I had no insurance so they cut the bill in half for me which was 800 bucks but if I had insurance they was going to bill the insurance company 1600 bucks.
Now my question is if they can bill me 800bucks why cant they do the same thing for the insurance company ??
Personally, right now imo insurance companies are a big scam .
I can get the same medical care that people do have insurance and I get it alot cheaper and make payments.
With the trucking industry not doing good right now, which means that the loads hubby hauls is barely enough to cover the fuel for the semi, there is no way I can afford to put out 1500 a month for insurance and still have to pay the deductiable and all that other crap that goes with it .
Get the homeless off the streets!!! Let's take care of our own before we go giving hand outs to other countries. It's shameful how many people in America are homeless today. And many of them, unfortunately, are mentally ill and need to be hospitalized. That puts us on on the subject of healthcare. Lets get them the treatment they need so they can become responsible, productive members of our society again. And continue to give them their treatment. People making minimum wage can't afford the insurance, healthcare and meds that go along with it. I've helped many homeless people but truly it's not even made a tiny dent in the problem. And I don't mean give them free handouts. I don't believe in a welfare system that continues to support people that won't work because they're lazy and want my tax dollars to buy their groceries. Many of the homeless people have just simply fallen on hard times and need a jumpstart to get back to work, and a productive life. My first prayer every night when my head hits the pillow is for the homeless. And I don't have any family members or friends that have ever been homeless so it's not a personal issue. If I ever win the lotto I will do my part to make sure at least some of them have warm beds to sleep in and food to eat that didn't come out of a dumpster.
I totally agree. I have never understand where we can send billions of dollars around the country but we cant even take care of our own people . It has never made sense to me either.
Welfare that is a touchy subject with me also. I understand hard times happen God knows hubby and I have had our share especially the last 30 days or so , but some people are just so darn lazy get on welfare and my gosh they eat better then I do .
I refuse to go to the grocery store the day welfare checks come out which in our area is the first day of the month
I made the mistake last month and went beacuae I was out of bread and milk. There was a lady in front of me had seafood, the best looking steaks and I mean four steaks that was costing her 30 bucks , no off brand foods and pd with foodstamps that just got me and it didnt help i was PMSing either lmao.
I followed her out and she was parked right beside me and guess what she had a brand new ford SUV. She was bragging to her girlfriend how her and hubby got the car last week but was on foodstamps .
Dont get me wrong I have nothing against foodstamps, medical card or anything like that my sis is on the medical card because she has Ceberal Palsey, I just hate lazy "bleep" people that wont help themselves.
