I know you've all been eagerly awaiting this moment, and now it's here. Chocolatier-Decadance by Design has been released!
In the first days after its release, I worked tirelessly, ignoring cries from my husband & cats, in order to bring you Mrs Levy's Spreadsheet Guides. These are printable versions of the posts you see below you can use to enhance your Chocolatier 3 experience.
Want your very own copy of the INGREDIENT LOCATIONS SEARCHABLE BY INGREDIENT OR LOCATION file?Click here!
Want to print out the RECIPE LOCATIONS, CHARACTER LOCATIONS, or QUEST LIST?Click here!
Here are a few general game tips:
*Unlike the first 2, new products become available at the markets throughout the game. If you go to Toronto & don't see butter, don't worry. It'll be there when you need it.
*Make a new Creation as soon as you are awarded space in the Recipe Book. You will not be able to proceed past certains points if you don't.
*No shops or markets in Reykjavik or Falkland Islands.
*No chocolate shop in Las Vegas, Gobi Desert, Uluru, or Xununtunich.
*Xunantunich doesn't open until the game is almost over, but you CAN complete the game without using or buying Honduran cacao! No quest I came across requires any recipes that use it. There are recipes that use it, but they ARE NOT NECESSARY to complete the game. If you think you need it, you probably are looking at the recipe for Blended Varietal DARK Truffles when you actaully need Blended Varietal PUMPKIN Truffles.
*The Tangiers shop will ONLY purchase your coffee products.
*Factories are in Zurich, Capetown, Tokyo, San Francisco, Toronto, & Wellington.
*Stores available for purchase are in Tangiers, Kona, Douala, Baghdad, & Havana.

A Note from HHG: This walkthrough is 100% complete and thorough. We are happy to answer questions for you in the Strategy Games forum, Chocolatier 1, 2, or 3. We suggest you read thru the spreadsheets and head over to Strategy Games forum to ask questions if you still need help!

i'm stuck!! i finished delivering the truffles to the 5 people, and i went to talk to evangeline but she just says "keep up the good work"?! I was thinking maybe i need to make the sesame truffle but the sesame isn't showing up on the market yet. what should i do??
Look in the Chocolatier 3 thread of the Strategy, Adventure & RPG section of the forum. Or use your internet browser FIND feature in the EDIT menu to search this page for the words "sesame seeds" because the answer is on this very page. In fact, the admins even highlighted it in red.
As for the truffles quest, if you read the Quest List you'll see that there is more to it than just delivering truffles to the board. You have a few more items to complete.
I put a LOT of time & effort into creating these guides. Please trust me when I say that ALL of the information you need is already there. Just use your browser's search feature to find the key terms to help you. The only thing that isn't in the guides are the awards, but if you follow the guide & keep your Creations slots filled, then you'll get them all.

Several friends and I have been playing this together and the walk through data here has been fantastic! Excellent job and I, for one, appreciate the many hours spent compiling it, Alevy.
If anyone is interested, I offer here a few of the "higher end" creations I put together... helps get those bucks together for those ingredients!
Great list, rlahti! I found myself making lots of things with Cuban coffee because I love Cuban coffee. Didn't pay much attention to the moneyside of things, though. I was just trying to get through the darn game! LOL
Out of curiousity, how much did these recipes cost you to make? I've found that just because something sells for a high price doesn't mean it's profitable, especially when dealing with seasonal ingredients. Usually saffron is a high profit ingredient, though. And I don't care how profitable maple syurp is, I just couldn't bring myself to make chocolates with maple syrup. Personally, I find that yucky.

I agree about the syrup - lol. But it was an experiment in terror. I have been through the game now several times, as we have a group that hangs in group voice chat and we can torment each other as we go!
One thing I do, is keep spreadsheets of costs (high and low for each ingredient) and the profit range for each recipe. I update these as I play each new game.
Cost on a couple are high, needless to say:
Balin Sticky Saffron: ~$12,925 Honduran Maple Syrprise: ~$9408
The return was great as through the course of about 4 years, price never dropped more than a couple grand... I bought large at first and then fed my inventory as the prices dropped. I was over 200 Million before I reached Master in it - lol.
I saved my creation spots until I had no choice - kept them for truffles as you can see. I am going to work on the exotics in the game I am about to start tonight.
I'll be glad to post any good ones I dig out. Will eventually work up a set for each of the confection types.
