This isn't my favorite genre of game (don't throw eggs at me please!) lol. But I'm curious how many of you DiHard gamers stayed up in the wee hours of the morning playing it??? Be honest now.
UMM well I didn't because I just can't get the link to work!!! But as soon as it does ya'll will have to do without the brain food for a day!! just kidding.

Well, if they took PayPal, I would have registered last night for PP just to have a look at this game. Then I wouldn't have seen my bed this night!
However, they don't accept PayPal, so I have to wait a few days to download the demo, and then I have to wait for BFG until it shows up (I have no credit card, and BFG accepts PayPal).
Wow, Marcel, that's really odd that a company like PF doesn't have PayPal yet. You should email them about it and maybe they'll work on that. They seem to really listen to our requests. I noticed they even made a special forum just for the forum games, at a poster's request.
I only stayed up until midnight playing but got up at 7:30 this morning so I could play more before I had to start my day. I completed both Chocolatier and Chocolatier 2. They were okay, not my favorite type of game but I have to say that I really, really love C3. I love how there are mutliple challenges going on at once--at one point I was working on 6 challenges! It makes it far more interesting and the game play doesn't seem so slow.

I went to bed at 2, but only because I had to be up at 4:45. I've only had a chance to play a few hours today. I had intended to come home this afternoon & play until I completed, but when I started confusing the oranges & pumpkins, I decided it's time for a nap.
I'll have the ingredient location spreadsheet up by tomorrow (Thursday) night. THe game layout has changed considerably from the first 2, so the character locations, recipe locations, & quest lists may not be completed until early next week.
And am I the only one who HATES the coffe match 3 game? I'm lucky to get 25!

I just got a response from PlayFirst. I asked them if I could pay with PayPal. They said "no". They said "our current recurring payments system does not allow PayPal". But at BFG, they also have recurring payments, and they DO support PayPal.
So I have to wait until Chocolatier 3 becomes available at BFG.
Alevy, I too hate the coffee match 3 game. Though I have to admit that I get my highest outputs with that one--usually 30+. I am lucky to get 20 with the other one because I have double vision in one eye which seems to mess up my hand-eye coordination once that machine starts moving fast.

Did PP people buy Chocolatier 1 when it was on sale at $11.95? Just wondering, because if I had bought it, and now its free for PP members, I might not appreciate that. Any thoughts?
When you set up the factory for a particular chocolate and then change to a different one, if you go back and make the first one again, do you have to reload the machines? The symbol says how many the factory is set to make, but unless I reload it doesn't work.
aha...you get a screen asking if you want to pay $100,000 for a wire service so you can switch what the factory is producing without traveling there. It's worth it!
Just finished the game, which means I'll have the first files up later today after I catch up on some sleep. But this was the most anti-climatic ending to a game I think I've ever seen! Yes, they put in many new features, such as remote factory access & multiple quests at once. But it seems like when it came to the end of the story/game, I think the programmers just said "ok, that's it. Screw you guys, we're going home." THere are still orders to complete, which is another nice change, but I would have liked a better story ending. Or at least some more fireworks or something.

Finally, non-PP members can buy Chocolatier 3, even with PayPal! I just downloaded my copy.
I'm stuck at chocolate making: it seems that you need to aim more precisely now. I can barely make 1 or 2 boxes a week. Does anyone have any strategy tips here? What exactly do you need to aim at?
I've just started to play it, but find I really HATE that your inventory and messages are hidden now when you go to sell your product or buy materials. I find it impossible to calculate what I need or what I should sell! Find it really off-putting and annoying. Factory status is always good to know, but if they were only going to display one box down the bottom, I think it should have been inventory!
I do like that you can have multiple quests going on at the same time.
Not too crazy about the coffee machine -- found it difficult to even figure out how to use it -- I kept seeing the start of the red square thing and finally noodled around enough to figure it out. I've gotten 25 for the first two coffees.
The wire transfer thing sounds cool, tho'. Innovative. Will save some time there.

I just want to say that, although I have finished this game and have been awarded all the medals, my score in no way even comes close to Alevy's What am I doing wrong? Help me please, I will play it over again, to try to come even close.

Other than trying to make the most expensive chocolates I can & only buying what I need, the only "secrets" I can think of is that I never turn down a quest or order (I may select "Later," but I never reject it), and that I ONLY sell to my own shops. I never sell to a shop I don't own. I also don't use dedicated factories, meaning the Zurich factory doesn't just make bars for the whole game. By the end, everyone's making exotics, coffee blends, or truffles. Knowing where ingredients are sold helps, too, because the faster you collect what you need, the faster you can make it, the sooner you can sell it, the higher your score. CHeck out the spredsheets in teh Game Expert area.
Huh. Maybe I do have a secret or 2 after all!

Alevy, your ingredients walkthrough is the first that I can find on the web, other than Gamezebo's Tips & Tricks, written by OrangeKnickers. All other sites I found just say Coming Soon or have a brief summary of the game play! AWESOME JOB!!! Let's get the rest of it up and posted today!

I didn't mean to sound so critical, above. I am actually enjoying the game more and more as I get time to play it some. I do really like the multiple quests -- makes the pace of the game that much quicker -- and it's more tangential, which means more challenging, which I really like. I'm even getting used to the coffee machine and getting better at it -- plus I won $40,000 in the casino, so I'm happy!
@ALevy --Can you tell me what date the game starts on? I'm trying to calculate how many weeks I've got in and I can't remember just when it started. Thanks!

So I'm playing along and have a bunch of really expensive stuff.. and I needed to make dinner, so I saved and exited. When I signed on again, my inventory was totally empty........sheesh, I had at least $3 mil worth of chocs to sell. Not sure what to do now except go ahead with the game. This sucks.
Ohmigosh, mv! Aeieie! That is a real downer! I've logged onto and off the game several times without a problem. I can't imagine what happened. Did you create more than one player? [Don't mean to insult your intelligence, there]. I really feel for you.
p.s. off-topic -- every time I go to type your screen name, I want to express it as "mV" -- like millivolt from my engineering secretary days. My fingers just do it automatically! I'm sure I did it bunches of times at PF -- so now you know why!
