Have A Holly Jolly Christmas This Year!!!

And last but not least, my favorite Rankin Bass stop motion holiday show stopper. hiya

Happy Holidays!!!

Love, Latte & Darby (who already sniffed out and opened her gifts. lol. Ran around all excited, shaking and "killing" her new sheep and teddy bear and squeaky bone...brat! Now she's exhausted and sleeping on the tile.  Merry Early Christmas to her. lol.)

One of my coworker's husband is from Jamaica...and he makes the BEST Curry Chicken...I mean THE BEST. I have been begging her for a YEAR and 2 months to ask him to make it again and today at work, there was a gift for me in the walk in cooler!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess what I am having for Christmas dinner? lol. I am soooo excited. Going to the store in the morning to buy some yellow rice and condiments and possibly a bottle of Chenin Blanc or Vouvray if I finish up the one I have by then...lol.....I'm so happy! Weeeeeeeee!

Of course, Vouvray makes me get a buzz very very very quickly....so if any of you get silly giggly naughty drunk calls on Christmas....you'll know who it was on your voice mail...lol

:P

Okay, what's the best gift you are getting/received for Christmas???

I can list mine already cuz I had a bit of an early Xmas due to my work schedule...

1. My new hottie. HOT! Did I say HOT??
2. The 37 inch LCD tv a friend gave me for Xmas. It looks so purty in my entertainment center. And he is giving me his gently used 4 Surround Sound speakers and sound card and helping me connect the internet to the new tv too after the holidays.
3. My daddy sent me a check for $1000. NICE. Although wont last but two seconds once I cash it.
4. And my mom bought me some Irish pottery and other stuff when she was in Ireland recently...her gifts are the only ones I havent opened yet. So that will be fun Xmas morning.

Oh and my chef gave me a huge bromeliad cuz she knows I like anything tropical. Now I have to figure out how to care for it. Best bet is probably to ignore it, cuz I like to fuss at my plants. :(

And my sous chef gave me the most amazing eggnog truffles that have so much rum in them. lol. I ate one and it was unbelievable, no artificial anything in there. And she gave me a jar of Nutella as a joke, cuz I never tried it before. OMG...can I just say Nutella on toast for bfast? YUM. Next week, we are selling savory crepes with goat cheese, bacon and sun dried tomatoes, topped with an Armenian golden fig jam and I am going to steal some crepes and spread some Nutella on them instead...cuz me no like goat cheese or sun dried tomatoes.... Really looking forward to that!

And if you havent ever tried golden fig jam/preserves, I swear to god, go get some. They sell ok brands in the jelly aisle at the grocery store, but the best brand, which we use in our restaurant is Harvest Song. AMAZING. My favorite is spread butter on two sides of crusty hearty sourdough bread , then one side of bread with dijon mustard, other piece of bread is fig jam. In between is black forest ham, brie, and thinly sliced apple. Then cook it like a grilled cheese sandwich. The preserves seep into the bread and caramelize a bit into crunchy yummy sweet goodness, omg, I want one now. lol.

okay seriously I think Shane got the best present ever!!!! (mommy doesn't get presents..)

Well any way Dani let my cat Pooh in the house tonight....Shane had to go to the bathroom and walked thru the hallway turned the light on and was "ready to let the water flow" when he looked on the floor by the bathroom door. I don't think I have heard any one scream so loud since Jeff handed Dani a live rat in the backyard. any woo.... Dani and I run to the bathroom and there is poor Shane flat against the wall saying "Mommy look"....we looked down...omg I started laughing so hard I think I was gonna "let the water flow" Pooh usually leaves his gifts on the front porch...dead... Of course Elmo and Pooh were on their feeding station and acting all innocent lol....It was a LIVE Rat (stunned afraid to move) Just sitting there...looking at Shane(still flat against the wall with his pants down)...Me still laughing hysterically and Dani going "Mommy get it"...okay(still laughing now) any way scooped "it" up and took it to the far corner of the side yard....Cats will stay in for the rest of the night and Dani has learned a very important lesson concerning cats always always check their mouths before letting them in the house....
