Has anyone noticed the new Recommended For You feature at PF? When you sign in, it has a game recommendation next to your profile. The explanation is below. I guess it's kinda neat, then again, I know what games I want to play and which I'm just not interested in. Anyone have any thoughts on this new feature? PF also expanded the Home Page a few days ago to have an Index at the bottom if you scroll down.
How does the "Recommended for You" feature work?
The PlayFirst Recommendation Calculation Engine runs every night and compares your game reviews against the game reviews of millions of other PlayFirst users to discern what games we think you'll like. Every time you login to PlayFirst.com, you'll see a recommended game.
You must have a PlayFirst.com account to get game recommendations.
Games that you have already purchased or reviewed will not show up in the Recommended for You area. To fine tune the calculation and improve your recommendations, just review more games!
Now that PF fixed the algorithm that calculates the recommendations, it makes sense. Wasn't working yesterday, very random recommendations. As of last night, they got it fixed, and it's recommending all TM and Strategy games to me, of course, all PF brand. I wonder if there are any recommendations that are like Cake Mania or some other game site's games? Anyone seen any?
The other day it recommended a match 3 type for me...wasn't a bad game just a little slow paced.It wasn't a PF game,today is Flo on the Go and Parking Dash so yeah all PF games right now
