Now you get to do the same thing you've tortured others with...mwhahahahhaha.....here's the interview~
1. What originally brought you to PlayFirst forums?
The web duh!!Actually I found PF and purchased DDHH.I didn't discover the forums until after I googled info for Chocolatier.
2. What game have you anticipated the most that met or exceeded your expectations and why?
Chocolatier 3. Even though it was a different format than previous games the game play was similar. They expanded enough on the popular features of C2 that really made it entertaining.
3. What game have you anticipated that left you feeling sad and bitter as it failed to meet your expectations? lol.
Luxor 3It was the marble popper Zuma that got me hooked on pc games. The first 2 Luxors had a definite goal.In Luxor 3 you seem to just wander around aimlessly sometimes redoing the same level.
4. If you had the chance to knock a game developer, from any game company, over the head for not thinking, what company would they work for and why would they be receiving their thumping by our resident muscular Harley Dude?
Any game company that produces games, HOGs are notorious for this, that let you play 3 or 4 levels and then tell you "If you collect these objects as you go along you will receive a bonus."
5. You seem to really know your way around the various internet game sites, as evidenced by your morning strolls thru the Hollow...what sites do you belong to and/or check regularly?
If there is a game I really like I tend to visit the developers site for info on any other games they may have.(Or news on a sequel.)I belong to Sandlot, Reflexive, Popcap, Real Arcade, Skunk Games, BFG, Spintop Games, PF, Codeminion, Gamezebo, GameHouse, Fresh Games and a few others..I visit PF, BFG, GameHouse and Reflexive everyday and the others usually a couple of times a week.
6. Name one thing you have learned by reading game forums?
For the most part fellow gamers are decent people who are more than happy to help you out.
7. How did you handle the thief in Turbo Subs?
I wasn't afraid to break the chain I was working on.When I saw him begin to approach the station I would watch for movement and as long as I could grab the money before he got to it I was fine. Then I would finish cashing everyone out before starting the next chain.
8. What was your winning methodology in this HH challenge?
As with most TM games, Chaining is everything. When I could only make 2 out of the 3 subs at a time I would make the small one and keep it on deck leaving room to make one of the other 2 when needed.I don't know if it made any difference but I played on a windowed screen, not full screen. The thought being I don't have to move the mouse as far to get across the screen. It may only save a fraction of a second but they add up.
9. How satisfying was it to beat Pinky? lol.
By the end of the challenge it wasn't about total score as much as just matching level scores and there were still some levels I couldn't match her.The challenge was level by level which it made it a lot more fun.
10. What is it like to be fawned over by all the women on this site? 'Fawned over' is a bit strong don't you think?I hope I've earned the respect of fellow gamers (male or female) at whatever site I'm on.
Congrats, again Rob!!! Nice interview! And I agree it was alot more fun playing level by level, to try to match scores. Had alot of fun with this one! Thanks again to Ariadni for the amazing spreadsheets, and again to Summer for showing us how much higher we could really go.
