Back in the 80's, in a small small SMALL town in central PA, my grandmother and great-grandmother wanted to go to the movie house in their downtown. Not being very worldly or knowing one movie from another, we went to see Porkys, about some nice college boys, right?
OMG.
But both my grandmother's laughed their butts off about that for years after that. So I guess it was all good??
I tried to get my Dad to watch Super Bad. I had already seen it and thought it was hilarious. Apparently, he didn't agree. He didn't make it past ten minutes.

Normally I check out the movies my wife wants to take the kids, 9 and 12, to but last fall I made the mistake of not doing so. We decided to ask my 81 year old mom to tag along so I was able to witness the disaster. We saw about 20 minutes of Don't Mess with the Zohan with Adam Sandler before we tried to sneak out without being too obvious. The only consolation is Mom's eyesight and hearing aren't very good these days or there would be a lot of harassment from my siblings.
I watched Leaving Las Vegas with my father. We rented it, watched it on the sofa together. I was about 20 at the time--so yeah, an adult, but it was a little awkward.
