We was in a hurry for a house when we got this one. We was in apartment and with a young baby and it just wasnt fit for a baby to live in so this house came up.
It was cheap at the time where we could afford the payments and it looked nice inside.
Well, with alot of ups and downs with money more downs lol the people that owned the house before us went the cheap route everywhere in the house and we are paying the price for it now .
He put some kind of boards down for the rooms plywood I think ? Well, anywhere somebody has spilt something it has raised the floor up . I dont think there is a level spot in my house *sigh*.
He was cheap cheap cheap and now its expensive expensive to fix things.
The kicker is its on commercial property. We tried to get a loan and we have great credit but nobody will give us a loan because its on commerical property *sigh*
What kills me is the bank we have the loan through wants us to fix that and fix that before they give us a loan. Now if we could fix things ourselves why in the world would we ask a bank for a loan ???
Why don't ya just say what ya really mean, Steeler, lol!
I just love reading your posts. You're so uninhibited and forthright. So real. My kinda gal!!!!!!!
To answer the original question: there's nothing right now that I would change about my living conditions (knock on wood). I like it exactly the way it is! We were blessed to be able to buy our own home a year ago in January, and it's not a castle but it's nice, comfy, and affordable (most important!). I do need to get my butt in gear and finish decorating though, lol.
About 12 years ago, my mother, in her infinite wisdom, just knew that my health would not be the best as I grew older. How she knew I will never know, as she passed without telling me her secret. Ok, she decided that she would buy me a "house" so that I wouldn't have to worry about paying rent. and the expenses that came along with the house, such as taxes, repairs etc, would be paid for out of a Trust that she and Dad set up for my older brother and myself.
Now it is 12 years later, and during the last two years of Mom's life, she suffered from a inoperable brain tumor, when epairs came up, she would get mad and tell me that I had two strong healthy boys why couldn't they do the repairs, (the boys are not "handy" so I tried to explain this to her and she couldn't weem to grasp it!) Meanwhile things just didn't get done the way they needed to. So needless to say, I now live in a 15 year old trailer that needs to be replaced.
I begged and pleaded with the attorneys to replace the house, and believe me I found one, a 3 bedroom 2 bath Doublewide, that was new, partially furnished, would be set up electrical and water connected etc for under 52,000. The lawyers said no, that they would rather I moved into an Apartment they would pay the rent, and I live on the Trust, monthly, yet that would cost 2,100.00 per month between the rent, and income x 12 and they say the new is too expensive!
I love my privacy on my own land and do not want to move back into a communal situation, where everyone is in your business. They want me to find a place that is in the 450.00 range. I don't think so. and then they won't say if they would be able to guarantee that I can stay there after a year. What are they thinking!!
I just want to live where I am and not move some place that I am not comfortable. 2 of my kids live with me and I have 2 Pitbulls. They aren't allowed in Apt Complexes, So buy the blame house already!!
