Wandering Willows Challenge

This will be a Challenge with a game gift purchase for the Best Player.

The RULES:

1.  Read all the rules.

2.  Final play must be completed between March 19-April 1st, 2009 at 11:59 PM US EST.

3.  You must collect all 12 medals AND all 10 site eggs + the bonus one.  The first 8 people to post that their collection of medals and egg are completed, will be verified and entered in a random drawing for a game gift.

4.  A minimum of 10 players MUST participate in order for the Challenge to proceed.  Deadline for signing up to participate will be the Monday prior to game release.  If 10 players do not sign up to participate, the Challenge will be cancelled.

5.  PF is NOT a sponsor of this Challenge nor do they have ANY involvement. 

6.  Any issues with your computer, your computer's security system, firewalls, etc. or PF's site that does not allow you to complete any of the above steps is not our issue. Sorry.

7.  All decisions/judgements of the site admins are final. We will not be held responsible for any liability involved in our fun Challenge should you choose to disagree.

Hi mv,

I don't think that you "have" to switch, but when you max out one it's fun to train another, I'm on my 3rd. How many tasks have you completed? I have done 155, and the bar isn't even half full!

As to the medals, I just did a copy & paste for PF to here. I guess that's why all that info and the date received are included!

I only have 2 to go!

Wow Suzy, you are racking up the medals. So far I only have all the eggs, Acquataince, Mama and Tropics.

Have you made it to the Tropics yet? I LOVE the Tropics! I was just playing in it and had to shut down the game to come say how much I love it.

Hi Cina,

Do you mean to say that I am ahead of you?? I Love the Tropics. The last medal without a description is the Tropics Medal.

To be honest, I purchased and downloaded the game at 2:30am and played until 6:00am. Then I slept for 4 hours and I am back at it!

I may have to take a break.

YOu know what? This game reminds me of Animal Crossing But much better!!

I think I have only completed 75 tasks so far.
I think I am done for the night. It is nearly 10 and I have not had a meal all day.

I love this game :)

I have all the PF eggs medals and am working my way through the game ones.. Love the tropics too!

I have done 92 quests I think now, and still have loads to go. I adore all the cooking things, and making clothes - so funny when the guy in the first area gets you to make a ballgown for him! And then he wears it!

I have had no problems and I am really liking this game !!! Like the girls said it's not a game you are going to get done in 2hrs.

I played most of the day yesterday and Im not even halfway through it yet so its very worth the 10 bucks for a long game.   I would even pay 20 for this if I didnt have PP .

I am amazed how long of a game it is .

It's nice to sit down and play a game from PF that isnt a TM game or a game that is over with in 2 hrs.

10/10 for me on this game !!

no problems here. One startup it told me I wasn't connected (it was wrong) but then restarted no problem.

It runs nicely, the graphics are oh-so-cute but not sickeningly so.. I'm up to 120 or so quests now, and I think I've opened up all the tropics areas.. :)

still only completed what 5, of the main goals - got my balloon's fabric repaired.

I am working on getting Best Friends with EVERYONE!

Post when you have completed your egg and medal collection. Remember, first 8 people who get them all, and post here so that we can go check, are entered in the drawing. You dont actually have to post the graphic here....lol. I just did that for fun. But I like how Suzy posted the whole thing so we can see what we are looking for. Nice job Suzy! :)

I think this game is adorable... but (as Ariadni says) not too precious that you can't stand it!  I like how more characters and quests and new locations are introduced as you go along in the game -- and, as as SteelerFan said, this is apparently a very looong game! 

I agree that this is well worth the money -- it's refreshingly different.  I have found the Tropics, have the BFF award, Pet Charming Award, Mama award and -- I think, one other.  I've completed about 120 tasks  (I had yesterday off from work *smile*).

The only one that gives me real pause is how the heck to make $100,000 in two weeks for the Entrepreneur medal -- that's a stumper.  I average around $5,000!  (smile).  I'm not sure I can make that much to get that medal.  What does anyone else think? 

It's true, MV, you really get attached to your pets.  I swapped one I really liked out for one that was very tempermental about what he ate and it was a pain.  I think, tho', that by training new ones, you get more chances at the special collars as they advance -- and that has a medal attached to it.

The only criticism I have is that the game stats -- and it varies -- (how many recipes, animals charmed, etc.) only flashes on the screen briefly when you teleport.  Don't really have time to read it all or make notes.  I would very much have liked to see that as an option to call up and look at at any time. 

All and all, I am really enjoying myself with this game.  It's a nice change of pace!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks about the posting Latte!

I have finished the game in the sense of repairing the balloon and leaving!, but, and Lord, I thought am I going to have to do this all again, but no, you go back to get the rest of your medals. There are a total of 162 Tasks, but there are at least 5 medals left. Here comes the hard part!. So have fun all! It took me over 10 hours to do all the tasks, and many more to finish the medals. Really worth the money for this game!

The collars one I got when I maxed out a friendship with one of the little girls in the Grasslands section I am about 3 people away from having the one when you are best friends with everyone, I am still working on the Biologist one. the only one I have left after that is the Tailor one!

Ok so ya'll peaked my interest. I got really bored and decided to go look for some eggs. I found all of them rather easy. Now I'm bored again. I may have to download the game and actually try it. That was a smart move on PFs part. The free egg search really does drum up some interest in the actual game.

Try it Summer, I didn't finish the beta first peek because I thought it was boring, but I tried the game when it came out and got caught up with the eggs and ended up hooked on the game.   Sheesh I played it most of the day.

well, I dont know what to to do anymore and this walking around is getting quite boring and to the point i dont care about these medals

I am missing 3 medals and I have no clue how to get them.  The animals I am charming are not spitting out no more recepies or anything.

I need the bioligist, tailor making and collar making.


I have walked around this game for the last 3 hrs have charmed every animal over and over again .

Any tips ?

I already got that 100,000 medal.   When the game first started I was a packrat .   I never sold anything unless I had to get some money for a bigger satchel, or garden items.


Even if I didnt need the items I kept them.   Towards the end of the game I had over 700 wools lol.  It all adds up when you start selling things off. 

Especially when you get into the tropics and they drop gems.  I had a bunch of them to .

Time I sold everything off the first time around I came up with 98,985 .  Then I just walked around in the tropics charming to get gems. and ginger to finish it out.

I need those same three medals. I have everything else.

If you need to make money in order to get to 100,000 make as many recipes as you can. Things you make will net you more money. I made every single one of the collars that I could--those sell for big bucks! I also made as many clothes as I could and sold them all--even the ones on my back--I was walking around in my underwear!!! Seriously!! I even sold the glasses right off my face.
I also planted all of the flower seeds that I had, bought some ribbon and made bouquets and then sold them.

I think, from the best I can tell, I am missing 4 animals. I purchased all the recipes in all the stores and I still don't have those two medals or the collar one.

I bought all the recipes and the patterns in both locations, little did I know I was missing only 1. I got that in the grasslands when I charmed a MX-9000 one of the Robots. Now I only have 1 mesal to go, the one for having all the pets! The last pattern was for suspenders. the Robot was over by the two girls that like savory and sweet. Their mom was the one who found the "Sea Monster"!

thanks for the tip, I will start digging again also lol.  I have already got the medal for the 100,000 so I went and bought all the patterns at both shops and it still didnt come up for me the medal I mean huh

For the pets Ariadni,  Im up to 35 pets.  Im charming and charming that one red guy behind the volocano and he is not letting a egg go wonder if he is suppose to ?

I think I found a glitch in the game.  When I made a bouquet of flowers and tried to give it to someone, I ended up giving it to myself, and now I can't get rid of it.

mv -- That happened to me with clothes, one time.  lol.  Can you go to your flower bouquet inventory and see if there's a red X on on of them?  If so, click on the X and you should lose the flowers.  That's what I did with the clothes, anyhow.

Can someone share how many pets and collars there are in total?  I have 32 pets and 42 collars so far.

lol, mv, I did the same thing!  Decided to take a break from charming, digging, and climbing so I made a bunch of recipes and clothes just to see how high they would sell for in the store.  So I went to store and sold my entire inventory including the flower bouquets I had made.  Then went to start playing the game again and was standing there in undies!!! LOL!! What a surprise!!  That totally cracked me up!

Also, I accidentally gave myself the first bouquet I tried to give away also, lol.  Walked around with it in hand for a good couple hours of the game until I figured out that clicking the red x in the inventory will take if off. (Clothes included, lol!)

I just flew away in the balloon, and now I want to land all over again, lol. What a great game.  From what I hear though, the boring, tedious part is about to begin for me.

For those missing recipes - I've found something that I didn't realise before...

you need ALL the watering can upgrades to unlock all the bouquet shop recipes..

I'm assuming you may also need all the backpack space for all the clothing recipes, and all the garden upgrades for all the food recipes..
