I love this game!!! Hopelessly stuck on level 40.  Where's Alevy's fabulous tips???

This game reminded me of Cake Mania, only it was more fast-paced. I was getting a little bored with constantly stamping chocolate, then I make it to Grytviken...ta da...infusions with toppings. This is what makes PF games so entertaining.

Ummm...I didn't know I had any! I remember Level 40 & 41 marked a change in the way the game had to be played. Before that, you could serve people in short chains as they came in & still meet goal or expert. At this point, you must be patient enough to wait for a few people to show, yet fast enough to serve everyone.
First, go back & replay previous levels so you can improve your equipment, especially your machines & power-ups. DOn't worry so much about decorations.
Second, start the level by putting 2 sauce bottles on your table. End each serving round the same way. And speaking of serving rounds...
Third, serve 6 people at a time & chain (7, if you include the zepplin). Chain menus, orders, and money collection. REMEMBER: giving the chocolate to the zepplin counts as money collection NOT order delivery. And, of course, serve your impatient customers first & get them out.

I did all of those things before writing this post. I finished with $2814 and served 30 customers. Hope this helps.

Well Alevy,
You may be pretending to be modest (only god knows why) but I would never have gotten past level 37 and up if not for those very same tips. One other thing that helped me. If you make a chocolate, and your customer leaves, slap it on display, someone usually buys it.  smile

Thanks so much, Alevy!!! DB had mentioned in another thread here that she was able to get to level 49 with your tips.  I've read all the tips in the PF forums to no avail. Anxious to try yours later today. Chores first, ugh!

Hey, DB! I've been very sick and didn't get to play and use Alevy's tips yet. Those games where you really have to focus to make goal aren't fun when you're sick, but the good news is ~ I'm much better now and I'm gonna attempt it today. Btw, this is one of the games I got at Gamehouse on the free game of the day giveaway. Isn't that just awesome!!??

..... see ya later!  confuse Pinky

I just finished the level, but I wonder why the game didn't stay consistent with the same flavorings and infusions and toppings? It confused me, personally.

Many thanks, Alevy!!! With your tips I was able to pass this level after failing it many times. I finally scored $2648 (Mastery) with 29 customers.  Your tips did the trick!!! clap

ok, you inspired me to reinstall the game and try to finish it.  I got hopelessly stuck and finally gave up, but I have found that playing in windows mode helps this game run faster too.   So maybe I'll finally be able to finish it.

LOL, mv! You mean it run slower, I think.  Hey maybe that's what I need to do.  I made to to level 52 so far.  This is one you can't lose any customers at all or you fail.  I can't seem to keep them all happy. But I got very close so I won't give up.  Level 49 was a doozy though!!  I read in the PF forums it's the one level that many people couldn't get expert on.

I didn't buy this game when it first came out cuz it reminded me too much of Cake Mania, which I was completely sick of.  But it's been a long while since my Cake Mania days so I'm really having fun with it now! girly

no Pinky, this game runs faster on my computer in windowed mode.  Not sure why, but oh well, what ever works.  Maybe I need a new computer???

wouldn't it be even harder to reach goal if it runs faster in windowed mode?  huh

I'm struggling just to get 2500, lol.  I think I need a whole 'nother round of customers and I just can't do it fast enough. Just need to keep practicing on it I guess! smile

Margy, I finally did it!!! smile I figured out what I was doing wrong so I'll post it here for anyone else that may be doing this too. I was serving the blimp order last for the chaining. Problem was, I was leaving the money all sitting on the counter while I finished making this last order. I finally realized I could pick up the money while finishing up the blimp order since that order counts as money pick up for the chaining.  I already knew it counted as money pick up but for some reason I had it in my head I had to get the blimp money before all the rest. Once I started picking up all the money and then serving the blimp, I was able to fit in another round of customers at the end. Fairly simple solution.  I see level 60 has the same goal of 2700 so I'll be finished with the game soon. Love this game!! smile

I FINALLY got past level 40.  Sheesh the last medal I got was in July, now I'm stuck on 44.  I get 3 customers at the first and if I make them wait until the rest of the counter fills in, they get made and if I try and serve them quick and get them out the door the pilot ladies show up and end up getting mad and leaving.  Any hints out there?

Hi, MV! I just replayed this level for you. On the first group of customers you may have to break the chain for the pilot lady. I got her in there on my chain but just barely. I put the cup and a bottle of sauce on the table then clicked on menus. Start making the candies right away but try not to serve them until your last 2 people show up (pilot lady is one of them). Try to give her order before the others if possible. The rest of the groups of people will be more easily chained if you keep the sauces on the table, and wait on the most impatient first (pilot lady, Indian lady with the jewel in her forehead, blonde lady, and top hat old guy) I usually wait on them in that order no matter who showed up first and it usually works.  If you haven't played the game in a while you may want to replay some previous levels to get your momentum built back up. This helps me alot when I've not played a game in a while. Hope some of this is helpful to you. If not, I'm sure Alevy can offer other helpful tips.  smile

Thanks Pinky, I'll try again tomorrow when my brain is fresh.  Supposed to snow so I'll have lots of time to give it a go.
